These are photographs, which i have taken, of my completed final piece, displayed on a mannequin. My theme of the project was, Alice in Wonderland, and the overall final piece displays aspects of design which are featured in the book/film, including Red Hearts and Flowers.
These are Photoshop manipulations which i created of stitched flowers, featured on my final piece, and secondary imagery. These images will be displayed alongside my Apron.
These are 8 petal Origami flowers which i have created using Alice in Wonderland storybook pages. I achieved this by following simple steps which i researched online, shown below:
These are guttered flowers which i have produced from a selection of tie-dye samples and primary images. I stitched in white embroidery thread for further texture and detail.
These are cello-tape prints which i have produced using a selection of my Photoshop'ed primary images. They have been displayed on black and white playing cards, representing the decks of cards from Alice in Wonderland.
These are stitched diagrams which i have produced in the style of Megan Canning's work. I achieved this by drawing out the basic outlines from a selection of my primary images, and then stitching different coloured embroidery threads onto the surface, adding further texture with beads.
These are some observations which i have produced from one of my primary photos of a Pocket Watch. The piece to the left, represents the work of Jennifer Collier, who creates 3D objects using book pages and recycled papers. The piece to the far left, is an observational embroidery piece, which i hand stitched.
These are my reduction cardboard pieces which i created from a selection of my primary photos of Flowers. I used contrasting and complementary acrylic paint colours on the foregrounds and backgrounds on these pieces, to accentuate the colours further.
